Workmanship warranty
We guarantee our workmanship for one year from the completion date. Materials are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. This does not cover normal wear, misuse, or work done by others.
Permits
We pull the permits this work requires. Permit fees are billed at cost unless they are already included in the price above.
Cancellation
Either side can cancel in writing before work starts. If you cancel after we have ordered materials or started work, you cover the cost of the work done and the materials bought up to that point.
Dispute resolution
If something goes wrong, both sides agree to talk it through in good faith first. If that does not settle it, we will use mediation before going to court.

What is the difference between a tree service proposal and an estimate?
An estimate is the number. A proposal is the number plus the wording that protects you: exactly which trees, exactly what happens to the stump and the brush, what you did not inspect, and a line to accept. On tree work that wording matters more than on most trades, because nearly every dispute is about something one side assumed was included.
What does a tree service proposal look like?
Your details with your license and any certification, the customer and the property, then the scope, the price, the dates, and the terms. The parts that make it a tree proposal rather than a generic one are the detail in the scope box and the limits in the not included box.
What should the scope actually say?
Name the tree, roughly how tall it is, and where it stands. Then what happens to it: sectional dismantling, chipping on site or hauling away, the stump ground to a stated depth below grade, and all debris off the property. A line that just reads remove tree in backyard is a disagreement waiting to happen.
How do I limit what I am on the hook for?
Two sentences do most of the work, and they go in the not included box. Say the proposal covers only the trees listed on it and makes no judgment about any other tree on the property. And say your assessment was a visual one from the ground, with a fuller inspection available if they want one.
What dates should I put down?
Dates you can actually hit. Tree work moves with the weather and with whatever the crew runs into on the job before yours, and underestimating the finish date does more damage to the relationship than a longer date would have.
